Heather Rothwell joined AWARD during 2007 while working on the Review of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools Schemes led by Dr. Michael Shepherd. In April 2008 she started working with Dr. Jeremy Segrott on an evaluation of the Kids, Adults Together Family Forum (KATFF) pilot programme in Gwent. She joined CISHE in 2004 and has worked on evaluations of Health Challenge Wales and an EU funded adolescent smoking cessation pilot project; a secondary analysis of ASSIST data; and a project to investigate Changes in Child Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke (CHETS) in Wales. Before this, Heather was a midwife in Rhondda Cynon Taff. She has a particular interest in health-promotion programmes involving children and their families.
