AWARD authors' book launch
Policy Press publish book 'Community Health and Wellbeing: action research on health inequalities'. This multi-authored book critically examines the experience of the five year Sustainable Health Action Research Programme in relation to current literature on policy, community health and health inequalities and action research. AWARD collaboration in the media
Prof Helen Snooks recently collaborated with a research team at Sheffield University on a randomised controlled trial looking at the potential for a new approach to treatment for non-life-threatening emergencies. Study findings, published in the BMJ online on October 4th, indicate that many older people could be effectively and quickly treated at home by suitably trained paramedics, and were reported to a wider public by the BBC.
